Description of work The field of raw material sourcing and availability means research on availability and sources of forest biomass, forest/biomass growth and management, as well as computational tools and data bases for the forest raw material. The work includes also assessments of sustainable and multipurpose use of forests in different parts of Europe as well as an overall assessment of current and potential other plants suitable as efficient raw materials for a forest bioeconomy. New wood species or elite forests issued from breeding programs or silvicultural practices leading to different ways of exploiting forest resources must also be considered.
